Shri Guru Hargobind Ji

Guru Hargobind Ji (1595–1644) was the sixth Sikh Guru and the son of Guru Arjan Dev Ji. He introduced the concept of Miri-Piri, symbolizing the balance between spiritual and temporal authority. To protect Sikhism from oppression, he established a strong Sikh army and built the Akal Takht in Amritsar as a seat of political and religious power. Guru Hargobind Ji was known as "Bandichhor" (Liberator) for freeing 52 Hindu kings from Mughal imprisonment. He encouraged Sikhs to be both warriors and saints, promoting righteousness and self-defense. His leadership marked a turning point, strengthening Sikhism against tyranny and injustice.
